V/A - Beat Vol. 1: Lounge at Cinevox
V/A - Beat Vol. 1: Lounge at Cinevox
Label - Crippled Dick Hot Wax!
Date Recorded - 1967-1979
Style - Funk, Soul, Soundtrack, Music Library, Funk, Jazz, Lee Library
(from Score Baby)
CripDick's three volumes of "raunchy, erotic filmmusic from the vaults of Italian 60s & 70s cinema" are indispensable to fans of groovy soundtracks. Each volume offers up such musicmakers as Riz Ortolani, Bruno Nicolai, Piero Piccioni and Armando Trovaioli, just to name a few. And, like every CripDick release, these are copiously illustrated and feature incisive liner notes. It would be difficult to rate each volume seperately, since each disc has its share of outstanding jazz funk sleaze and a track or two of lounge filler.
Volume 1's highlights include Teo Usuelli's "Piacere Sequence" and Picconi's "Traffic Boom", both of which were used in the Coen Brother's movie The Big Lebowski in a suitably sleazy context.
Track Listing

2. Ennio Morricone - Alla Luce Del Giorno

Aaaargh! Not Rapidshite! Well, perhaps I´ll be able to get a free slot from them someday...
Anyway, have you folks heard soundtrack from the film Mellow CQ? It sounds as good as the album cover looks.
Give it a try if you come across it, I´ve been playing it at work and it gets better all the time...
sorry i know a few people don't like rapidshare, but it's reliable and the links are very stable. Membership is not expensive. Haven't heard of that one but I'll have to look for it!
Wow! You guys are just amazing! This really is the number one place to be on the web. Some of this stuff is just stunning.
Also Rapidshare - I agree - It is cheap and very stable. Please keep using it. Looking forward to future 'releases' from you dudes!ttbfi
Another stunning set of posts! Keep up the good work buddy!
Oh and I wouldn't use anything other than Rapidshare!
Thanks for all the kind words. Rapidshare is cool. I don't see why people have problems with it. They don't use pop-up advertisements or lame spyware any time you want to grab something, unlike the rest of them.
Funkalicious blog, but the last few posts arent downlaoding fully, just 1mb or so.
On the debate, massmirror gives a good choice including rapidshare.
Rapidshare is as cool as your posts friend!
BTW is there a Blow up Vol.2 waiting in the pipeline?
anon - thanks for the kind words and advice. i just tested the last few ups and they downloaded fine for me. sorry you're having trouble with r/s.
clint's - i've only got vols. 1 & 3 available right now. thanks for your support.
The onslaught continues. Totally amazing stuff on here again. I am definitely going to be borrowing from your uploads to round off Breakonomics. This stuff is so what I'm into. Just can't believe you managed to get all of these. I mean I have about 100 funky comps on CD and only three of them have shown up on here, the rest I have either not heard about or just saw in passing at Dusty. As Brother J would say, you guys are deeper than Atlantis.
yeah i just tried the links from home and they d/ld fine for me. maybe try again in a little while?
mr supremeunknown has the killer tastes. like i said before, this is all my bro's stuff - i'm just lending a hand at getting it recognition and respect with ppl on par with our subversive tastes ;)
another set of excellent posts ... thankyou.

cracking up at Vanadalay Industries. Possibly the best name ever. Great stuff on your site as well... linking you up.
Ah! this is a great compilation I love this sort of stuff and it sounds great! I love Morricones big beat tracks...:)
thanks great blog!
Glad you likey, GOTT
Well, RS is reliable, but not liked among bloggers for their file deleting policy and buy-premium-account-or-die attitude.
I did took a look around with "Totally Fuzzy MP3 Blog Search" (amazing device, this one), but no Mellow QC anywhere. I will upload mine when I get the cd-rom back.
I`ve heard everything twice over the years, but this really dropped my jaw. Just take a look of the cover and you know this one is a winner:

Thank you for this album! Appreciate it very much!
Hey thanks!
