King Tubby & Larry Marshall - I Admire You [In Dub]

King Tubby & Larry Marshall - I Admire You [In Dub]
Label - Motion
Recorded - 1975
Style - Dub, Reggae, Toasting, Tubby, Lee Library

The previously unreleased dub version of Larry Marshall’s seminal 'I Admire You' album was mixed at King Tubbys by King Tubby, Philip Smart, Pat Kelly and Professor. It features many of reggae's finest musicians and includes Watergate Rock, the first cut credited to King Tubby. The originator of reggae at the home of dub!

(review from www.reggae-vibes.com)
"After more than 25 years Motion Records presents the recently unearthed dub companion to the 'I Admire You' album, mixed at the legendary Waterhouse studio of King Tubby. Motion Records has added some fine bonus tracks and I just love the album! Snatches of Larry Marshall's voice are included in a lot of dubs. These dubs are largely gimmick-free, placing an emphasis on the tightness and solidity of their musical core; the transforming power of Dub's re-organization ultimately highlights the weighty expressiveness of the songs' wordless melody and rhythm. Essential release, don't ignore this one!"
